Q I have been to some local functions which i am told are held on behalf of the Temple and have donated a lot of money but was not given a reciept.

A  All functions apart from Dushera festival are held on Temple premises and The Temples policy is to issue you with a reciept for your donation without fail. The only exception to this is where you deposit money in the donation box or in the Aarti plate.

From time to time, the Pundit will be performing Pooja,s in members homes and again will issue a reciept for any donations recieved.

If you are donating money, then always ask for a reciept.

Q . I'm interested in offering my service to the temple during my spare time. Whom should I contact to find out how I can be of help?

The temple activities, both the regular prayer sessions as well as the bigger events organised on the various religious occasions, depend heavily on voluntary help from the patrons. The Executive Committee of RHC really appreciate and welcome your offer of assistance. The best way for you to engage yourself with the temple activities is by checking the Upcoming Events list on the temple's website and contacting either the Priest (Tel: 01189751067) or any of the Executive Committee members a few days prior to the event.

 Q. Where do I park my car when I visit the temple?

There are some parking spaces available on the forecourt of the Temple however these are prioritised for the elderley and disabled. If you do park in front of the temple, please ensure that you are leaving a 2 metre area from the edge of the kerb to allow Pedestrians and wheelchairs to pass unrestricted. There are areas for  Free parking for up to 2 hours immediately around the temple area
  • Whitley Street
  • Behind the bus stop on Whitley Street
  • Glebe Road and Vicarage road.

 Q. I would like to set up a monthly direct debit donation to the temple. I have filled out the Standing Order form. What do I with it now?

The Executive Committee would like to thank you for your donation. Please return the filled-in Standing Order form to the temple. You can do this by either handing over the form to the Priest or any of the Executive Committee members at the temple or you can post the form to the temple's address (please see Contact Us section for details).

Please note the Temple policy is that a receipt is always issued for any donation you make to the Temple, apart from standing orders and depositing money in the donation box.

Q What is gift aid.

Gift aid is an initiative set up by the Inland revenue .to enable charities like ourselves to claim back the tax on any money you donate to the Temple
As long as you are a tax payer, all you need to do is sign a gift aid form at the Temple and this allows the Temple to claim the tax back on your donation. This costs you nothing and allows the Charity to claim back 28p in the £.
Therefore for every £1 you donate , the temple can claim back 28p and for every £100 you donate, the temple can claim back £28.
