 Food Safety Policy

                    Based on Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2006;                          Regulation (EC) 852/2004 on the Hygiene of Foodstuffs.

Prasad (sanctified vegetarian food offered to deities) of the following three types will be permitted to be distributed after the Puja (traditional worship ceremony) on the Temple premises.

  1.  Food cooked on Temple premises.
  2.  Food bought - clearly labelled and unopened.
  3. Food prepared by the certified registered suppliers.

Prasad which does not satisfy the above:

  • May be offered to the deities but is not allowed to be distributed after the Puja and worshippers must take the Prasad home.

Prasad shall be distributed by the Priest or nominated members of the congregation only

Whilst this policy has been designed to safeguard the well being of our worshippers, it should be noted by all that:

·     Any food consumed on the Temple premises is at your own risk.

·     You should be mindful of any food allergies you may have before consuming any food.
