Your contribution by way of donations could be worth substantially more to the Charity at absolutely no extra cost to you. The Charity qualifies for Gift Aid rebates at the basic rate of income tax from Inland Revenue. If you are a UK tax payer, the Charity can receive 28p for every £1 you donate. If you pay tax at the higher rate of 40%, you can claim tax relief between the basic and the higher rate, thus reducing cost to you as well. You must pay an amount of income and / or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax that the Charity reclaims on your donations in the appropriate tax year, currently 28p for every £1 you donate. Please let the Charity know if in the future your tax circumstances change (see note 3 above) or if you change your name or address or if you wish to cancel the declaration. If you are unsure whether your donations qualify for Gift Aid tax relief, and then please contact your local tax office.
